A list of films to make it through summer.
There’s no shortage of great films. And yet, somehow, we regularly rotate between three movies... because kids.
To get out of the rut, I made a list of films I would want to watch and that I thought my kids might tolerate. It was a huge huge success. So, for summer 2020, we’re going to film school.
Below is a list of 100 films to watch with kids ready to expand their cinematic palette. That’s an entire summer of movie nights.
The list is broken into six themed categories: Musicals, Disney Pairings (original animated feature followed by live action version), Star Wars, Marvel, Sports, and some classics from the 80s and 90s. There's no obligation to be a completionist in Summer Film School, so feel free to pick and choose. But hopefully there are at least a few options that will help you avoid the 7000th screening of whatever is currently in your three movie rotation.
